Bio

Born and raised in Switzerland with Ghanaian roots, LIVFORIT is a singer, songwriter and performer whose music bridges cultures, emotions and genres. Drawing inspiration from R&B, Ghanaian Highlife, Afrobeats, reggae and pop, he has developed a distinctive sound that combines infectious energy with emotional depth and meaningful storytelling.

At the heart of his music lies what he describes as “beautiful melancholy” — the bittersweet feeling of a summer sunset, where the beauty of a moment remains even as it comes to an end. His music captures that delicate balance between joy and nostalgia, inviting listeners to celebrate, reflect and discover something of themselves within the lyrics.

Inspired by musical icons Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Alpha Blondy, LIVFORIT discovered his passion for music at an early age. He began writing his own lyrics at just 14, developing his creative voice as both a songwriter and performer. That same year, he recorded his first song, Most Wanted, in Ghana — a defining experience that confirmed his desire to pursue music.

His artistic journey continued in Switzerland, where he became part of Bern’s hip-hop scene, performing under the name Fresh L with the collective New Jack. Bringing together individual artists with a shared passion for music, New Jack provided a creative environment in which its members collaborated on recordings, developed their individual styles and performed together.

During this period, LIVFORIT gained valuable experience in songwriting, recording and live performance. In 2009, New Jack performed at Gurtenfestival, one of Switzerland’s established music festivals. Two years later, the collective reached the semifinals of the inaugural season of Die grössten Schweizer Talente in 2011, bringing their music and performance style to a national television audience.

As the members gradually pursued different educational and professional paths, LIVFORIT remained committed to his musical ambitions. While others stepped away from music, he continued writing, recording and developing his craft. His determination eventually led him to establish his own identity as a solo artist, building on the experiences and collaborations that shaped his early career.

His artistic development also included collaborations with fellow musicians and releases associated with Chop Kiss Label. In 2019, his collaborative EP LivfoRhymes with Rhymesayer received coverage from Radio Bern RaBe, reflecting his continued involvement in Switzerland’s music scene. The name LIVFORIT, meaning “I’m living for it,” embodies his passion, determination and commitment to his craft. A meticulous artist who continually strives to surpass his previous work, he thrives on the creative exchange of the studio, working closely with producers to develop new ideas and push his sound forward. For him, every release is an opportunity to evolve, experiment and create something greater than before.

On stage, that dedication transforms into an electrifying connection with his audience. For LIVFORIT, performing is where he feels most at home — a place to release his energy and experience the unforgettable moment of hearing a crowd sing, dance and connect with the music he has created.

His live-performance journey has continued with appearances at established events, including a supporting performance at Davido’s 5IVE Alive Tour concert at THE HALL in Dübendorf, Switzerland, in 2026. His selection as a support act for Ronis Goliath’s THE GAME TOUR in Zürich in November 2026 marks another opportunity to bring his music to new audiences.

Beyond music, LIVFORIT’s creative identity extends into fashion through his role as a brand ambassador for clothing brand KONG, reflecting his interest in artistic expression beyond the recording studio.

Ultimately, LIVFORIT sees music as more than entertainment. It is an escape from the demands of everyday life — a space for reflection, relaxation, happiness, encouragement, memories and love. Through his lyrics and performances, he aims to create moments that resonate long after the music ends.

Rooted in authenticity, shaped by experience and driven by a lifelong passion for music, LIVFORIT continues to evolve as an artist who lives for every note, every lyric and every connection.
